There is no aiding or abetting in Oregon yet. We have a lady at CCCF who was given 15 years for giving someone a ride who had committed a crime, yet was given the same sentence as the man who committed the crime. This lady has a family with small children who will be without their mother for a lengthy period of time.

There is also a lady at CCCF who just gave birth to her child and was immediately placed in custody after birth. This is an important bonding period for mother and child that has been stolen from this family. The young mother has no previous criminal history and accidentally ran over someone with her motor vehicle. We ask you readers to be the judge if it is worth it to put this mother away for 10 years.!

We believe the laws in Oregon are biased against women and a splitting up families. We urge our readers to educate themselves before voting because we really need to change the laws and the system to be more fair to women and their young children.

There was a fight in our unit at CCCF. The officers sprayed a lot of pepper spray on them. At least 2 officers were spraying for several minutes. Now we are being forced to cell in and we can hardly breathe. The pepper spray lingers in the air and we can’t get away from it or stop coughing. Our noses are running and ladies are worried about getting nauseous or having a panic attack.

They finally got our cell doors working again around 9am.

It is 98 degrees outside and it is very hot in the unit right now. There is an officer who has been taking out her frustrations on us by not allowing us to get ice from the ice machine and threatening to punish us if we turn the fan on. She has also been punishing people for exercising their 5th Amendment rights. One lady tried to stick up for another one, so the officer punished her too! Group punishment is against the law, and this officer lady is breaking a lot of rules here, not to mention that she is also being abusive to the whole unit. She has been discriminating against ladies by refusing to hire them for any jobs and ordering the other officers not to let them get jobs either. This is an abuse of her power and we say she does not belong here.

We lost power today at CCCF. Because of this they were not able to open our doors. They had to wedge some of them open so we could get in at night, but we were then locked back in to the cell that could not be opened without a crowbar. This is a safety hazard and fire conditions are extremely high right now because we have not had rain in awhile, plus it is the 4th of July, so fireworks are everywhere.
